Frequently Asked Questions

What is an end-of-life doula?

A non-medical companion who offers emotional, practical, and planning support to people who are dying and the people who love them. I'm not a nurse or doctor — I'm here for the parts medical care doesn't cover: presence, conversation, planning, and comfort.

Do I need a referral to see you?

No. You can reach out directly, whether you're planning ahead, facing a diagnosis, or supporting someone else.

Can I use NDIS funding for your services?

If you have a self-managed or agency-managed NDIS plan, you may be able to use your funding to access doula support. Get in touch and we can gently talk through what's possible for your situation.

Do you provide legal or financial advice?

No — I offer support, guidance, and a listening ear, not legal or financial advice. For legally binding documents like Wills or Enduring Power of Attorney, I'll help you prepare so your solicitor's time (and your money) goes further.

How do overnight vigils work?

I stay with you or your loved one through the night, offering steady presence and support. Vigils have a minimum booking of 6–8 hours, to make sure there's continuity of care.

Is it too early to reach out?

Never. Many people connect with me well before end of life, to plan ahead — and that's often when this work is most valuable, while there's still time to think clearly and without urgency.
